Silk Road Collection

The Silk Road was an ancient trade network made up of a myriad of routes taken by various European explorers and merchants that connected East and South Asia, the Mediterranean and Europe. The merchants and explorers on the ancient Silk Road didn't only carry silk and silkworms but also horses, paper, spices, as well as the spread of ideas, cultures and religions. For over 1500 years, the Silk Road was a vibrant network until the Ottoman Empire closed it down in the 1450s. 

Our Silk Road Collection pays homage to the spices traded along the maritime routes, all the way from the "spice islands" of Indonesia, Indian marketplaces, and Central Asian bazaars to European cities and royal courts.
